Despite the fact that Easter is not formally recognised as a public holiday in China, millions of Chinese christians attend church services and celebrations, and gifts such as hampers and easter eggs are usually exchanged within these communities.  

In China, the catholic community that celebrates Easter also has a tradition of decoratively painting eggs as a way to celebrate themes such as rebirth and fertility. 

The most celebrated holiday in China is the Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, and it typically falls on different dates between January and February each year. 

While Easter is not a popular holiday in China, we still take joy in creating great experiences for those that do celebrate it. That’s why we’d like to bring our delicious authentic chinese dishes to our UK guests during this time.

Our Chef’s Cooking Techniques

Cooking techniques, such as steaming, have been used for thousands of years in China and it holds a lot of cultural significance in Chinese tradition. It’s highly valued to enhance the natural flavours and preserve the nutrients in the food. 

This technique has also been used by our chef to create delicious and aromatic dishes that you’ll discover on our Easter Set Menu, where each meal is lovingly made and artfully presented to ensure you’ll enjoy a memorable night.

Our Dishes: Their Flavours

Start off your journey with an exquisite sharing platter that includes the delicate crunch of prawn toast and the sweetness of teriyaki chicken skewers. Whether you love the Kataifi Dragon Rolls or the taste of Golden Chicken and Cheese Rolls takes your fancy, our starters are perfect as an indulgent treat – just what you need during your Easter celebrations. 

Following on from our delicious starters, we have a second course to offer (supplement £8 per person). This includes our well-loved aromatic crispy duck that’s served with spring onions, pancakes and cucumbers. 

Our main courses take you on a journey through Asian gastronomy and the role of aromatics in Chinese cuisine. If you’re fond of seafood, you’re going to love our Grilled Salmon Fillet In Sweet Soy Sauce. Contrasting the salty flavours of the ocean with the depth of the soy sauce, this main course has the perfect balance of varied flavours.  

For those who enjoy meaty options, our Beef in Black Pepper Sauce is a wonderful choice, as well as our Chicken in Lychee Sauce. Our chefs expertly pair sweet sauces with the rich tenderness of the meat. 

With vegan options such as our Tofu, Aubergine and Japanese Mushroom Claypot, there’s healthy and meat-free dishes to suit these kinds of dietary requirements.
